welcome message

Hello Warner Rams!

Welcome to the fall semester! My name is Sam Palmer (she/her) and I am the Career Education Manager for Warner College of Natural Resources. If you are new to CSU and Warner College, welcome! For those returning, I hope you had a great summer, and I look forward to seeing you around Warner College again. This academic year you may see me in your classroom for a presentation, in a 1:1 career advising appointment, hosting a career event, or perhaps in the outdoors with your class.

As you may know, the current job market for the field of natural resources is competitive and challenging due to global and economic affairs. I am doing my best to stay informed and working closely with employers to find opportunities, internships, and post-graduation jobs for our students. I encourage all of you to take advantage of career resources, events, connecting with your faculty for mentorship, and exploring networking opportunities this academic year. Remain curious, ask questions, and get involved while you are here at CSU, you never know what interaction will pivot you into an experience.

Remember, career is a process. The Warner Career Services team are here to help at whatever stage you are in. Can’t wait to see you all around campus again or meet you for the first time!
