CSU's open enrollment period begins on Oct. 27 and ends on Nov. 14. A benefits fair will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 in the Lory Student Center Ballroom A from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. While most of the plans will remain the same in 2026, there are a few changes. | - Duo Multi-Factor Authentication will require all login and approval devices to run supported operating systems and browsers by Jan. 12, 2026.
- October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month and CSU is asking any employee who has not yet completed their annual training to do so this month.

| CSU is adopting the new Workday human resources system, which will go live on Jan. 5, 2026. Requesting and approving vacation and sick leave, hiring processes, and background checks will all move to the Workday platform. Check the link above for a full list of important dates during the rollout process. |

Please note, all supervisors are required to complete the Mandatory Supervisor Training path through CSU’s Talent Development program. Please review your status and ensure you complete each of the trainings as soon as you can. In particular, we are asking everyone to prioritize the training, “Rules of the Road.” |

| Michael Smith, CEO of Freeport LNG, CSU alumnus, and longtime CSU supporter will be on campus to give a presentation Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. in the Lory Student Center, Ballroom D. He will be sharing insights on the keys to success in business, including an exclusive LNG demonstration. The event is open to the CSU community and boxed lunches will be provided. RSVP required. |

The Office of International Programs is accepting proposals for the 7th annual International Symposium, which will be held virtually on March 3-4, 2026. They are inviting proposals from students, faculty, and staff that relate to international development. The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, Oct. 31. |

The Partners in the Outdoors annual conference will be held April 27-29, 2026 in Colorado Springs and is open to CSU undergraduate and graduate students. The conference serves as a vital platform to address the intricate balance between conservation and outdoor recreation in Colorado. The deadline to submit a poster session application is Sunday, Oct. 26. |

The title of University Distinguished Professor is the highest academic recognition awarded by the University and is bestowed upon tenured, full professors on the basis of outstanding scholarship and achievement. Professors receiving this title hold the distinction for the duration of their association with Colorado State University. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. |

The program is an initiative aimed at stimulating research, scholarship, and creative artistry that addresses grand challenges in democracy. Applications are due Monday, Nov. 10.

The Course Design Institute is a five-day program open to all CSU faculty and instructors who want to develop a new course, reimagine an existing one, or create a core curriculum proposal with an intentional focus on student learning and engagement. The deadline to apply is Oct. 31. |
