Referring with your member's best interest in mind

At Gonzaba Medical Group, we use the coordinated healthcare model which places the primary care provider at the forefront of patient care. The PCP functions as the quarterback, communicating with specialists to create the best individualized health plan for our patients, your members.

We are passionate about providing preventative, high quality care to the patient at every step of the way. That's why our Medical Review Team has curated a list of in-network specialists whose patient values and goals align with Gonzaba.

Specialists in our network were chosen because their patients have historically positive results and because they have built strong relationships with Gonzaba's PCPs. The communication between a patients primary doctor and specialist is essential to providing high quality care and seeing positive results. With Gonzaba's in-network specialists, patients can rest easy knowing their results and patient records are sent directly between them and there is little to no risk of miscommunication or fragmented care.

If your members have further questions about their referred specialists, encourage them to ask their primary care provider, as they know their individualized health plan best.

Call Gonzaba First

Did you know Gonzaba provides Urgent Care services at three locations outside of regular hours? Patients as well as non-patients are welcome!

If you have a member who has a non-life-threatening illness or ailment and needs immediate attention, encourage them to Call Gonzaba First at 210-921-3800.

Visits to the emergency room can be costly, and we want to keep your members safe while helping them avoid unnecessary fees. Urgent care treats ailment such as allergies, fever, headaches, rashes, wound care, hand injuries, fractures, and more!

Additionally, Gonzaba HMO Patients who visit Gonzaba's Urgent Care receive service at the PCP Level. For locations and hours of operation, follow the link below.
