install SiteImprove to monitor digital accessibility |
Websites offer many simple opportunities to deliver digital content in an accessible manner. SiteImprove is CSU’s selected tool for monitoring website accessibility, and you can install it for free! The tools identify accessibility issues and offer suggestions for corrections. Using these tools as a part of regular website maintenance will help ensure your site remains compliant with digital accessibility standards. |

pdf documents and websites |
As you review website content, pay particular attention to PDF documents. If you can provide the content as a webpage rather than a PDF, that would be an excellent opportunity to explore whether it could be maintained as a webpage rather than a PDF. If the PDF is your desired media type, ensure the version you have posted is digitally accessible. The next digest in the Digital Accessibility series will cover how to make PDFs accessible. |

RAMS: CSU's accessibility framework |
First, remove old content that doesn’t need to be shared in courses and online. Then, adapt the material that needs to remain, and make all new material in an accessible manner. |
The Accessibility by Design website, offered by CSU’s Assistive Technology Resource Center, is your go-to resource for tutorials, instructions, and step-by-step guides on making your content accessible. For additional help, you can schedule a consultation with their experts through their website. |
