“Colorado is especially well suited to help address wolverine conservation concerns,” said human dimensions of natural resources master's student Kaitlyn Reed at one of the virtual educational events she’s been running as a project partner with the Center for Human-Carnivore Coexistence and Defenders of Wildlife. “It is critical wolverine populations have access to large areas of connected habitat. Bringing them back to the largest area they were historically present but currently absent could provide a ‘new stronghold.'”

Federal funding agencies now require researchers to take research security training both prior to proposal submission and on a rolling 12-month basis during the award performance period. The deadline to complete this training is Wednesday, Oct. 1. |

| Warner College graduate students should have received an email at the beginning of the fall semester from Sam Palmer, the college's career education manager. If you didn't receive it, or you can't find the email, you can access all the career-related information above. The newsletter includes upcoming career events, advising hours, and a chance to be spotlighted on social media. |

Registration for Spring 2026 classes is just around the corner. Advising codes have been sent to students and the Spring Class Schedule will be released in RAMweb on Friday, Oct. 3. Registration begins on Monday, Oct. 27 for graduate students. |

| The Fall 2025 Graduate School Commencement Ceremony will be held Friday, Dec. 19 in Moby Arena. The ceremony will honor all master’s and doctoral candidates whose degrees are conferred by the Graduate School. More information can be found on their website. |

Graduate students may request an evaluation of previously earned graduate-level course credits to find out if they can transfer and count toward a degree program. It is strongly recommended that graduate students do this when submitting the GS6 Program of Study form. |
The GCIM works to improve the mentoring culture at CSU to ultimately elevate the personal and professional success of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. GCIM fosters a supportive community that strengthens mentor and mentee relationships through trainings, meaningful conversations, and skills for offering personalized advice. |
CSU Writes is a writing facilitation program for CSU’s professional researchers and academic writers who seek to boost productivity and develop sustainable writing practices for publication, submission, and degree completion. |
In 2024, one in four graduate students reported having a disability. The Student Disability Center at CSU can offer accommodations for graduate students with visible and invisible disabilities. Even if students don't have a diagnosis or don't have the resources to receive a diagnosis, the SDC can still help. |

The second annual Healthy by Nature Fair is hosted by Nature and Health Northern Colorado in partnership with CSU Extension and Fort Collins Natural Areas. This free event is open to everyone and will include a picnic lunch, hands-on activities, and local resources. |

The film festival highlights conservation efforts around the globe and promotes activism. The doors open at 6 p.m. with complimentary drinks and snacks. The films begin at 7 p.m. A $5 student ticket code is available by visiting the Warner College Student Success Center. This event supports Larimer County Conservation Corps' local conservation efforts. |

Graduate school often requires students to manage large amounts of information. Join campus experts for this interactive session. Attendees will be introduced to research-based strategies to help stay organized, work more efficiently, and reduce overwhelm. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP by Oct. 11. |

The Graduate Student Showcase highlights the research and projects from graduate students in all eight CSU colleges. The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, Oct. 3, or until capacity is reached. Interested students are encouraged to submit proposals early. |

Graduate students looking to get out for a run, while also meeting new people, can join the GRAD Strides group runs on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. on the Oval in front of the Administration Building. All fitness levels are welcome - no one gets left behind! |
