New TCSG-USG Nursing Agreement Expands Career Pathways for Georgia Students
Governor Brian Kemp recently announced a historic articulation agreement between the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and the University System of Georgia (USG)—a major win for aspiring nurses across the state. This landmark agreement, the first since the passage of the Top State for Talent Act (HB 192), enables graduates of TCSG’s Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) programs to transfer seamlessly into participating USG institutions to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
The 2+2 transfer model offers a cost-effective, accessible pathway for students to advance their education without loss of credit, while also helping meet critical nursing workforce needs—especially in rural and underserved communities.
